The Great House announced as Regional Winner in the Sunday Times Best Places to Stay Guide
The team at The Great House are delighted to share the announcement that we have received a prestigious award of Regional Winners in the Sunday Times Best Places to Stay Guide for the east region.
We are very excited and delighted with the award which not only recognises what our beautiful boutique hotel has to offer but also the efforts of our hard-working team and the French cuisine which is designed and served by Head Chef Guillaume. The award was announced amongst a report of the top 100 places to stay in England.
The hospitality industry is facing challenging times at the moment as we have seen a number of restaurants across the country struggling, including some well-known restaurants, so this award is most welcomed and not taken for granted. We’re always striving to offer an enjoyable experience which exceeds our guests’ expectations. We hope that this award will bring new guests and welcome back previous guests to our door.
The Sunday Times described The Great House as part of their article by saying “Outside is wonky, half-timbered, medieval Suffolk, but the moment you enter the Great House, you’re in rural France.” This quote captures the essence of The Great House and the authentic French cuisine and experience which we strive to offer.
We are pleased that The Great House continues to be an award-winning restaurant and hotel, with a busy festive season ahead and plans being made for the New Year we are looking forward to what 2019 will bring.
