Our Story
Welcome to The Great House in Lavenham! Housed in a simply stunning 14th century building, The Great House in Lavenham is the jewel in the crown of Lavenham’s beautiful medieval village.
It has a fascinating history and a long line of illustrious owners. Since 1985 it has become a renowned French restaurant with five luxurious bedrooms offering them the chance to stay and dine in this unique boutique hotel whilst enjoying a stay in the English countryside.
In early 2018 the The Great House ownership changed hands with the new owners looking forward to carrying on the illustrious history of The Great House alongside the team, continuing to offer french cuisine in an award winning restaurant and hotel.
