Regis Crepy tastes Suffolk’s local food

‘It is pure joy to cook in Suffolk with the abundance of delicious produce available right on our doorstep, Blessed with a naturally productive county of grazing pastures, rolling farmland, fish-rich waters of the North Sea, not to mention the innovative hard working artisan producers – we are known as the Foodie Country for good reason.’  The Best of Suffolk Annual Guide

With Jemmy Butler from Blythburgh Free Range Pork farm. Local fantastic ingredients include: Blythburgh pork, Sutton Hoo chicken, game such as Suffolk venison, partridge, pheasant, rabbit, also Gressingham duck, seasonal veg and fruit particularly Ardleigh asparagus (here on the picture with local award winning Martin’s Lane wine Blanc de Noirs, raspberries and strawberries. From our coastal waters we source Colchester oysters, Deben mussels and dressed Cromer crab. Crayfish freshly caught from River Balckbourne at Ixworth. Suffolk and Norfolk cheeses are excellent and over the years we’ve seen huge improvement in quality and choice to rival major producers.
