'Ipswich most iconic restaurant' East Anglia Daily Times

Mariners, formerly called Il Punto, is an authentic French Restaurant based in an old gunship boat moored at Ipswich Marina. Built in 1899 this traditionally stylish boat came to Ipswich in 1990 and was bought by Régis Crépy in 1994. Mr Crepy transformed it into today's award winning Restaurant with fine food and Al Fresco eating on the patio deck.

Everything is immaculate and shipshape — the brasswork gleams, the woodwork reflects the subtle lights from the boat-studded harbour scene outside and the calls of the seabirds remove any possible lingering doubts of authenticity. The service, mainly a French team, knowledgeable and friendly, effortlessly ensures that customers thoroughly enjoy their meal. It's the perfect setting for a quick or leisurely lunch, a romantic dinner or a family event with relaxing views over the Marina.
